For the last six years, I have been writing a newsletter, sometimes under the banner of Bench Consulting, at other times, Family.Inc. Today I've consolidated the letters under one name: Family Matters.
Family Matters are reflections and perspectives I draw from my work with enterprising families who own and operate family businesses and family offices.
In my work with families, I often find their family success doesn't match their financial success. While this is not a universal truth, I find it more common than I wish. Because of this, my newsletter's primary focus is on human behavior and navigating the complexities of being family; a relatable topic for many, I would guess. My goal is to not only provoke thought, but also action, action you can take to build a stronger, healthier family. The ideas I'll present are not theory; they're based on the work we do with clients, from small family farms to billion-dollar family enterprises.
Finally, based on your feedback, I've included two additional sections at the bottom of each newsletter: 1) back by popular-ish demand, what I'm reading, and 2) upcoming family enterprise events we're hosting or participating in.
I hope you enjoy Family Matters. While the content will never be long, I pray the impact is profound.
